*A mini-Josh! As if it gets any better than that.
*A big brother for any future kids. My big brother once sat on my head until I memorized D&C 82:10 (which I did and have never forgotten). That was his version of “leading the family in scripture study” while my parents were gone. I’m convinced that every child needs a big brother.
*Trucks.
*Tuxes.
*Easy haircuts.
*Tiny little vests and ties.
*Maybe someone tall enough to reach the top cupboards when I’m old and shrunken.
*Father/Son campouts.
*Scout campouts.
Josh and I are thrilled that we are going to have a well-behaved, law-abiding, gentleman, kind, caring, capable, good at building stuff, intelligent, ADORABLE baby boy.
Don’t worry, I know it’s not all fun and games. And if I didn’t know, Katy (my sister) would tell me. Not that she’s bitter…just that she feels it is her duty to warn me about being peed at.
I am super excited for you! Boys come with all sorts of more exciting fun :) YAY for knowing what you are having!!!
ReplyDeleteAmy I am SO excited for you!! Baby boys are so much FUN!
ReplyDeleteFor the record, I didn't say "peed at." ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are many GREAT reasons to have a bohy. For one, they are cheaper for prom and wedding. And, they don't have as much drama! And, for the record, I have 2 boys and I was NEVER "peed at".
ReplyDeleteoops, I meant boy, not bohy ;)
ReplyDeleteHaha! I'm partial to boys first, of course!
ReplyDeleteIt is great having the older brother for the others. Except, of course for me. I was the oldest:)
Congrats! Now the trick is coming up with the name you and hubby both like:) Good luck.
Oh yay! I'm so excited that you are having a boy. I have to say I've never been peed at or on...lol! I do have a funny story though.
ReplyDeleteWhen Rem was a newborn I was changing his diaper. He peed and it went straight into his eyes...LOL!
I love that we had a boy first! Because now i stare at all those girly clothes and i know its just going to make it that much more special! lol
ReplyDeletealso i love that Kason is going to be the big brother.
He is a handful and i would never change that for the world. He is amazing and i am so happy that i have him.
Boys are so much fun!! Fun clothes, colors, and yes you go get peed on! many times. Also watch out when they are older... they will run around and try to rip the diaper off then pee!
Oh, I don't know about easy haircuts...with girls you can let it grow long until they let you come at them with scissors... with boys, they have to have haircuts or else they end up looking like little girls themselves, and some don't take kindly to scissors.
ReplyDeleteCongrats Amy! Boys are so much fun (not that I'm partial in any way).
Congrats on your little guy! I wanted a boy first, because I always wanted a big brother. Plus, I'm fairly terrified for my daughter to reach the teenage years... You will be such a good mom!
ReplyDeleteI always wanted a boy first, too, truthfully. But my friend Sara changed my mind about that. She also had a girl first and her girl is now 13 going on 14...and my friend Sara says, and I quote,
ReplyDelete"I always wanted a boy first, but girls are just way more helpful. You're lucky to have a girl first."
Not that a boy first is a bad thing, just to cheer up all those mothers who had girls first, like me.
I'm so excited for you to have a little boy!
Congradulations on having a boy first. You are right about a mini-Josh. Joshua (my baby boy) is just like his dad--personality and looks. You will have lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteOh honey, sometimes the pee and poo come out at the same time. It's shocking and a little funny....anyway, YAY! I'm so excited for you to have a boy! We've had a blast with James!
ReplyDeleteWow. I cannot believe you already know! Congrats! Boyz are awesome...not that I'm biased or anything. I was so glad for a first boy for the big brother thing. And just in case you are feeling as stumped about boy names as you were girl names: Sawyer and Stetson. Cute hey????!!!???! And I promise they would be seriously adorable!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Boys are a lot of fun and NEVER dull. You'll love it!
ReplyDeleteBoys are the best. You done good, darlin'.
ReplyDeleteDallin and Kyle just went on their first father/son campout and it was great! both of them had a great time. I'm so happy you're having a boy. They are a blast! We really need to get together, my phone erased all my numbers so either email me your number or call me! I love you and miss you!
