Da Belly: 33 Weeks

Cool development of the week: Baby's skull (while hardening) is NOT fusing together. You know...to make the birthing process easy and comfortable. Awfully generous of him, don't you think?
Meanwhile I'm trying to nap regularly (and by 'regularly' I mean 5-10 naps / weekend to make up for the lack of naps during the week) and Thomas is moving much more consistently. Do you think he reads my blog and tries to prove me wrong? Every time I say he doesn't move much....he makes it his personal goal to move as much as possible. Last night he woke me out of a dead sleep with his kicking. I liked it.

Pregnancy is hands down the coolest thing I've ever experienced. And I'm starting to be a little sad that it will be over soon.

  1. Pregnancy is the superest (yes, a word... at least to me) thing you will ever experience. It's a time of glow, curiousity and excitement for what's to come. The second you lay your eyes on Thomas - you'll trade all of that for a million moments with him :) Happy Mommyhood!

  2. 33 weeks!! You have already made it farther than me kudos. Don't you feel a little like the X files growing a human being inside of you?

  4. Oh Amy, it is great. It was always a bit of adjustment for me after my babies were born, all of the sudden I felt a little bit alone. (Baby blues) The good news is that you have a sweet baby that needs you ALL the time, it get's so much better!

  5. Pregnancy is awesome, no doubt about it. But it is not even CLOSE to as cool as after the babies come. And it just keeps getting better. PLUS you get to know what they look like, what they are learning, how they are growing (and not just because some website told you); AND they laugh and they hug you. You're going to be such a great mommy!

  6. For you to say you are a little sad that your pregnancy is almost over is pretty amazing - considering how sick you have been. Good luck with your last few weeks!

  7. I agree with you that pregnancy is one of the coolest things ever (uncomfortable at times but still cool)! After I had Isaac I love to put him in my sling because it made me sort of feel like I was pregnant again. Weird I know. I'll be interested to hear how you feel after Thomas is here. :)

  8. Did you know that your pelvis is also not fused together? There's cartilage in the female pelvis so that it can be a little flexible.

I saw a model of it in my birthing class.

Fascinating. Just another thing our bodies do that men's bodies don't.

Heavenly Father was so smart when he designed us.
