Da Belly: 29 Weeks

I know it's hard to believe, but that is a real live photo. Unedited and untouched. Yes the love sac is IN FRONT OF the couch. We could pretend it's because we're cool enough for stadium seating, but that would be a lie. It's just more comfy right there and....well...we're all about comfy.

This is me at 29 weeks. Feeling good. Really good.
Almost guilty-good. Not quite. But almost.
This is the week where I realize that sometimes babycenter lies. "Your baby's very active now. Your practitioner may ask you to spend some time each day counting kicks and will give you specific instructions on how to do this. Let her know if you ever notice a decrease in activity."  I hate to say it, but my baby isn't very active. And if Dr. Man asks me to count kicks I have a feeling he'll be sorely disappointed when I can do it on one hand.
Josh has felt the baby kick/punch/protrude only twice. I feel him moving around....usually once a day, but not always. He's still kindof a sissy when it comes to the punching business. It tickles more than anything else.
Last night I dreamed that Thomas stuck his foot straight out of my belly and the only thing covering it was a VERY thin layer of my skin.  Josh thought it looked cool, grabbed the foot and played "this little piggy" with Thomas's tiny little toes. It was cute in my dream, now it seems a little creepy.

  1. I'm glad your feeling well! My first baby wasn't super active in the womb and she is a really mellow, great kid! My second was a spaz in the womb...and a spaz now! So be happy for a mellow baby!!

  3. Yeah, I have spazzy kids, I guess.

Andrew grabbed Rachel's foot in utero, though it wasn't defined enough to play "this little piggy."

I wouldn't be surprised if we grab a limb of this child, either. *Sigh*

My mom only felt me move a few times and I rocked as a baby. :) My little sister was a...well, my dad grabbed her foot in the middle of sacrament meeting once...she was crazy.

So, I definitely second what Linda said. Thomas will hopefully be a mellow little guy for you!

  4. That's hilarious!! Luca actually did stick body parts out like that but not quite that extreme. Stella on the other hand maybe moved like one time a day. So I don't know that it matters all that much.

  6. When I was pregnant with Tessa I had a dream that she came out of my belly. It didn't really help that I had been reading the last Twilight book. DUH! Anyway, my girls didn't move that much either.

  7. Your dream copied my dream. In my dream, it wasn't just the hand coming out, she also pressed her face up really hard against my skin so we could see her. I know what you mean--it was cute and precious in the dream and a little creepy when I woke up and thought about it.

    Also, cute cute pregnant belly!

  8. You are looking great! I didn't feel my baby much in the womb but towards the end you'll definitely feel him!
