I want an official sponsor

  1. I know zero Olympians who could honestly tell me they eat Chicken McNuggets just before the big race. Or ever. Yes, I could've put the period after the word Olympians but we're going to pretend that's not true.
  2. Just because "The Olympics" only accept Visa doesn't make it better than any other card. I know because I care more about which card Costco will take than which card "The Olympics" will take. Besides....what are you paying "The Olympics" for anyway? At least at Costco I come home with more stuff than I have room for.
  3. Lean Cuisine will not make you ski faster. That's a scientifically proven fact.
Even though I know all that, I still want to have an official sponsor. I'd like to nominate the following for my sponsors:
  1. Old Navy. Of course I'm assuming that would mean loads of free stuff. Including jammies for my baby, t-shirts for my new and improved mommy wardrobe, and a lifetime supply of flip flops.
  2. Scott Hamilton. Mostly because he's been narrating figure skating for longer than I've been alive. I hear him say things like "beautiful!" and "flawless!" more than any other words, except maybe "this is a really tricky move". I want him to narrate my life.
  3. The Olive Garden. Because just like Lean Cuisine won't make you ski faster, The Olive Garden WILL make you a better, happier mom. That's also a scientifically proven* fact.
*Scientifically proven = I conducted a study of my life and I'm happier when I eat Olive Garden. Particularly items ordered off the dessert menu.

  1. That McDonalds commercial drives me crazy! It was super awkward during the summer games, when the runner looked like she was going to puke before she took a bite of the fried chicken sandwich. My sponsor of choice would be Baby Gap, because have you SEEN how adorable those clothes are?

  2. I completely agree on the credit card point: we got our costco rebate today from American Express, and let me tell you, it is worth $360 to me to not use visa. Even if it is the "olympic" card.

  3. Amy, I'm laughing out loud! You are too funny.

And I want Scott Hamilton to narrate my life too. :)

  4. Like black tie mousse cake from Olive Garden. Not to mention the bread sticks and salad that are to die for.

  6. Any, Thought I'd fill in the rest of my comment from the other one I posted on Nutrimirror. I love the Olympics and wish I was that young, that limber, and that driven! My sponcers would be:
Sportspectrum....Because, like you, I'm assuming that would mean loads of free stuff and I could enter free
Prevention magazine....Because they are full of healty ideas, recipes.
Runners world....Because that would mean my Spring goal is happening.
Under Armor....Because without them, I would not be walking in cold weather every morning and I would really want their free stuff.
my husband....Because without him, I would not havethe love and support to have ever found control to take back my life.

Our favorite place to eat is Olive Garden and if you look at my food log you will see a lot of that. Before I close I will add my favorite soup from them that we make at home. I hope you wont mind me following your post and stop by both of my blogs and check out some of my past posts.

  8. put it in your recipe data base on NM and it will give you the calories per serving. I make a lot of recipes for only two people so I cut ingrediants way down. I dont want left overs because that would be a temptation to have a second helping.
Thomas is so beautiful. What a blessed family!
